Fluoplus® High-Performance Films: Empowering Smart Electronics and Flexible Sensing
Case Study
Driven by the accelerating trend of flexible, integrated, and smart electronics, the PVDF piezoelectric film sensors, PEEK films, FEP electret films, and FCCL flexible copper clad laminates launched by Fluoever have become core material solutions for smart cabins, wearable devices, flexible displays, 5G communications, and human-machine interaction. This is due to their excellent electromechanical conversion performance, high-temperature stability, high-frequency electrical properties, and flexible adaptability.
Fluoplus® PVDF Piezoelectric Film Sensor

Fluoplus® PVDF piezoelectric film sensor is a flexible piezoelectric component made from a modified PVDF film substrate, processed through electrode coating, plastic sealing, electrode extraction, and electrostatic shielding. This product achieves highly efficient two-way conversion between mechanical and electrical energy. It features high sensitivity, a wide frequency response range, impedance resistance, and excellent flexibility. It can conform to any curved surface, providing a brand-new material solution for tactile sensing.
Fluoplus® PEEK Film
Fluoplus® PEEK film is a high-performance engineering plastic film made from polyetheretherketone through a melt extrusion molding process. PEEK material possesses outstanding high-temperature resistance, mechanical strength, chemical stability, and electrical insulation properties. It also has extremely low dielectric constant and thermal expansion coefficient, making it an ideal substrate and insulation material for flexible electronics, high-frequency communications, and aerospace electronics.

Fluoplus® Electret Film

Fluoplus® electret film is a functional film made of fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) substrate. Through corona polarization processing, the material permanently traps electrical charges internally, forming a stable electrostatic field. This product can achieve non-contact induction without an external power supply. It features long charge retention time, good signal-to-noise ratio, and strong resistance to environmental interference. It is widely used in electret microphones, acoustic sensors, and energy harvesting devices.
Fluoplus® FCCL (Flexible Copper Clad Laminate)
Fluoplus® FCCL (Flexible Copper Clad Laminate) is an adhesiveless flexible copper clad laminate made of a high-performance fluoroplastic film insulation substrate bonded with copper foil under high temperature and pressure. This product has excellent dielectric constant and dielectric loss, outstanding dimensional stability, and heat resistance. It is the core material for high-density flexible printed circuit boards (FPC) and is widely used in 5G communications, automotive electronics, flexible displays, and the aerospace sector.

Why Can Fluoplus® Films Become Key Materials in Smart Electronics and Flexible Sensing?
From high-frequency communication substrates in smart cabins to medical-grade wearable health monitoring devices, and high-frequency transmission lines for 5G communications, the Fluoplus® series of films is profoundly changing the design of electronic devices. The core reasons why these high-performance fluoropolymer materials can break the limitations of traditional rigid materials and conventional plastics, becoming widely adopted by electronic engineers, lie in the following dimensions:
Extreme Thinness and Seamless Curved Surface Bonding (Design Dimension)
Fluoplus® films possess excellent flexibility and bending fatigue life. The thickness of PVDF piezoelectric film can be as thin as 10μm, and PEEK film can withstand over 100,000 bending cycles. They can perfectly conform to human skin, automotive interior curved surfaces, and foldable screens, offering unprecedented morphological freedom for product design.
Outstanding High-Temperature Resistance and Dimensional Stability (Processing Dimension)
Represented by PEEK film substrates, the long-term continuous use temperature can reach 260°C, with a melting point up to 343°C. It can withstand lead-free reflow soldering processes. Additionally, its very low thermal expansion coefficient allows it to maintain excellent dimensional stability in alternating high and low-temperature environments, ensuring the reliability of precision electronic components.
Excellent High-Frequency Electrical Performance and Signal Integrity (Functional Dimension)
In 5G and higher frequency bands, signal loss is a core pain point. Fluoplus® FCCL and PEEK films have extremely low dielectric constant (Dk of FCCL down to 2.15) and dielectric loss (Df of FCCL down to 0.0003), effectively ensuring low-latency, low-attenuation transmission of high-frequency and high-speed signals.
Keen Perception and Energy Conversion Ability (Interaction Dimension)
PVDF piezoelectric films have dual piezoelectric and pyroelectric effects—generating electrical signals under pressure for sensing, and generating electrical signals from temperature changes for infrared and temperature measurement. FEP electret films provide a long-lasting electrostatic field to achieve non-contact induction. These provide the core component foundation for a new generation of human-machine interaction and smart perception.
