Product Description
Bisphenol AF (BPAF)—chemically named 2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)hexafluoropropane—is a white, powdery, fluorine-containing bisphenol compound. It serves as the most critical ionic crosslinking agent in the FKM (fluororubber) industry. Bisphenol AF exhibits exceptional thermal stability and chemical inertness; when used in conjunction with vulcanization accelerators (such as BPP), the Bisphenol AF-based system remains highly stable during mixing and storage. It is resistant to “scorching” (premature vulcanization), offers a wide processing window, and is well-suited for large-scale industrial production.
- Outstanding resistance to thermal aging: FKM crosslinked with Bisphenol AF retains its elasticity over extended periods at high temperatures ranging from 200°C to 250°C.
- Excellent compression set resistance.
- High processing safety: Resistant to “scorching” during the mixing process.
- Superior chemical stability.
- Crosslinked products exhibit excellent resistance to various chemical media.
- Imparts high tensile strength and moderate hardness to fluororubber.
