Fluoplus® PVDF Film

Fluoplus^® PVDF film is manufactured from high-purity Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) resin by a melt-casting extrusion process. As the second-largest variety of fluoroplastics, surpassed only by PTFE, PVDF is widely utilized in fields such as protective backsheets for photovoltaic modules, anti-corrosion liners for chemical storage tanks, protective films for architectural metal curtain walls, substrates for lithium-ion battery separators, and support layers for water treatment membranes. It serves as an ideal material for weather-resistant protection, chemical barriers, and moisture encapsulation.

• Superior Weather Resistance: Capable of withstanding prolonged exposure to UV radiation; offers an outdoor service life exceeding 20 years without yellowing or chalking.
• Excellent Chemical Resistance: At room temperature, it resists 98% concentrated sulfuric acid, strong alkalis, strong oxidizers, and various organic solvents.
• High Mechanical Strength: One of the toughest varieties among fluoroplastics, featuring a tensile strength >70 MPa, elongation at break >100%, and excellent resistance to impact and abrasion.
• Wide Operating Temperature Range: Continuous service temperature ranges from -60°C to 150°C; melting point is approximately 170°C, with a thermal decomposition temperature exceeding 316°C.
• Excellent Flame Retardancy: Inherently flame-retardant (requiring no added flame retardants); rated UL94 VTM-0 with a Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI) of 43%.
• Low Moisture Vapor Transmission Rate: Offers superior moisture barrier properties, effectively protecting internal components; water absorption rate is a mere 0.01%.
• Good Electrical Insulation Properties: Features a volume resistivity >10¹⁶ Ω·cm and high dielectric strength, making it suitable for various electronic and electrical applications.
