Product Description
BOAP (2,2-Bis(3-amino-4-hydroxyphenyl)hexafluoropropane) is a specialized fluorinated finechemicals featuring a “bis-o-aminophenol” structure. It serves as a dedicated solid crosslinker for perfluoroelastomers (FFKM) formulated with cyano (-CN) cure site monomers (CSM).
Diverging from conventional curing agents that merely act as catalysts, BOAP actively participates as a core building block in the crosslinking process. By undergoing a dehydration condensation reaction with the cyano groups on the molecular chain, it securely locks linear polymers into a highly stable network structure. Nowadays, the BOAP system is the standard choice for extreme-environment applications, including semiconductor wet processes, oil and gas drilling, and aerospace sealing.
- FFKM crosslinked with BOAP exhibits exceptional thermal stability and chemical inertness.
- Outstanding resistance to hot water and steam.
- FFKM crosslinked with BOAP can achieve a long-term continuous operating temperature of 280°C to 300°C.
- Excellent tensile strength and compression set performance.
- Superior chemical resistance.
