Product Description
Fluoplus® perfluorinated foamable fluroplastic is manufactured from compounded and modified perfluorinated resins (such as FEP, PFA, etc.). During the extrusion process, gases—such as N2 or CO2—are injected and uniformly dispersed throughout the resin matrix. This product is primarily utilized in the extrusion of insulation layers for high-frequency, high-speed cables. Compared to non-foamed resins, perfluorinated foamed resins exhibit lower dielectric constants and dielectric losses; this reduces signal attenuation during transmission while simultaneously increasing signal transmission speeds. Furthermore, it helps reduce both the weight and overall dimensions of the cable. It is suitable for use as the insulation layer in HDMI cables, low-loss RF cables, coaxial cables, and base station communication cables.
- The lowest dielectric constant and dielectric loss among solid insulation materials
- Excellent high-temperature resistance; PFA resin offers a maximum continuous service temperature of up to 260°C
- Excellent low-temperature resistance, maintaining superior toughness even at extremely low temperatures
- Excellent flame retardancy, featuring a Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI) of 95% and a UL94-V0 flame rating
- Outstanding chemical resistance and weatherability
- Excellent resistance to stress cracking and bending fatigue
